Horses are really dang good at sorting our intent. A lot better at it in fact than humans. Watch as Doodles learns how to decipher what I want from her.

There are multiple ways to help a horse understand what we're asking of them. We don't need only focus on the pattern, or a drill that will do ONE thing. We can work on other things to help that ONE thing. Here, I demonstrate several ways to help this mare pick up her right front foot.

Can’t get them too good on the ground, and having a horse that waits on you is super important!

Kindest mare ever - learning to be a solid citizen. She’s weighted to the front, so we are working on teaching her to wait on us, and weight herself to the back.
